I will make a video soon but my HyperCam2 is messed up at the moment.
1. So you start of random at some place who knows where. Go to a top of a mountain that has some space. From the sides of the mountain gather dirt, it's the best you can do and it doesnt really matter the resources/colors of your house yet. Get about 50 dirt.
2. Next go find some trees and take the wood (very important). Go back to the top of mountain and make a small 6x6 house, it'll do for the first few days. Make walls 3 bricks high.
3. craft wood planks with the wood from the trees. then craft them into sticks, a door, then with the sticks and wood make 2-3 pickaxes. Also with the wood make 2 chests. Set them next to eachother in your house so it is a "large chest". Store extra items in it.
4. At night stay in your house because of Zombies. They WILL come after you.
5.In the morning kills some cows and stuff with a sword you make with sticks and wood for food.
Here you have 2 options...
1. You can stand in one place and dig with the pickaxe as deep as you can until you reach a cave (this is what I did). In the cave keep exploring. I happened to find a bunch of chests containing iron, gold, food, string, diamonds, and more! The problem is getting out. That you will have to figure out on your own. I suggest making a stairway up which takes a while but worth it. I ended up dieing from Lava doing this choice cuz I was trying to jump over it.
2. Continue to gather resources, make houses, other stuff, and play survival mode how you want to. Beware of Zombies!

Important resource: Coal (or charcoal by burning wood) = torches.
You need light or else you can't see and monsters will spawn more in the dark!

another thing I forgot too add, I'll be in my house at night and no zombies or anything come out. I think thats because the diffuculty is on peaceful mode.
