While you guys get everything worked out, I can provide a standardized website at a subdomain of my website.
-
But it's my site, why are you trying to take over, maybe freedomplay was right....
-
What's your problem?
Why would "merchscape.ethanmendelson.com" be different than "merscahpe.smffy.com"?
I would just have to make an add-on domain of merchscape.com, and it would be just peachy.
It's just a domain name, you'd have just as much control; never mind.

Woops I was mad when I posted.

You tell me, I don't see how it's any differen't. If it's temporary why switch anyways?

When I said that, I meant the domain name it's self. In Orange's post, he stated that making a subdomain on my site would make it less his, and I asked how a subdomain on smffy would be any more "his" than one on my site.
As for your question, it doesn't make too much sence.
What's the difference between a smffy.com forum, and your own webserver? I think you can answer that yourself.
-
so uh... it would just be a site but you would just like host it without control?

It's rather empty....

It's rather hasn't been started yet. Just a funky little menu.

First off, it's "sense". Sorry it was bugging me.
Second, I was more or less agreeing with you on how it would be no differen't, but again I ask why switch if it's only temporary?

1. I saw that typo immediately after I posted. I didn't change it because, well, I don't care.
2. Depends if you want an actual website when the server comes out, and not a smffy sub-domain forum. From there it would just be moving the site to it's own domain.

OK, I see where you are going with this. It would be a good idea. If I'm understanding correctly, the only thing that would change would be the domain name?

Huh.

Huh.
Anyways you sir need to get the client up, lol.

Why does the client matter if there is no server...?

I thought that was what we were working on? That didn't seem to make much sense to me...

I'm sorry I'm sorry but this is going nowhere, I'd rather not switch again until we are READY. Enough of the b**ching (Excuse me for my language). In the end this will be Admins and Orange's choice so quit arguing and get on with your life. Nothing any of you say will get them to do it. It is their own choice. -Madface-

OWNED!

OWNED!
So I was thinking about Swag, his last login was yesterday for a short amount of time.
Now I did thinking. He logs in about every 3 days. This is just a guess as I pay attention to when he logs in,
now his post count is 83, and his join date was a month and one day ago. So this means, he posts about 2-6 times when he logs in. Sometimes more sometimes less. This is the average amount he does.

If you are trying to say he is inactive, he has told us he is grownded, plus he told me he will rarely be on around the holidays.

This is on an every-day basis. Grounded*, He said he was grounded quite awhile ago.

I think I am the only one who actually understands what Ethan was talking about...
I'd accept this offer, be happy Ethan offers you a webspace with subdomain for free which seems to have guaranteed 100% up time.
+Yip, I doubt you've ever had a client, with what I read you writing until now I think you have no idea about hosting at all, in all friendship, even though I am sure you will be mad...
